Teachers
Johanna Curtain
Johanna is the 4-year-old teacher for the
Possum Group. She has been teaching at Arrabri since
2011. Before
teaching at Arrabri Kindergarten, Johanna worked at a
long day care centre for 7 years. Johanna is
creative and enjoys art-based projects. As part of
her teaching philosophy she believes children’s social
and emotional skills are very important in the
development of children’s dispositions and their
school readiness.
Amanda Constable
Amanda
joined Arrabri in 2010. Amanda has also had many
years' experience in childcare. She is currently our
3-year-old teacher. Amanda has also taught 4-year-old
kinder here at Arrabri in 2013. Her main love is
teaching our beautiful 3-year-olds. Amanda is a
wonderful 3-year-old teacher who ensures all of our
Wombat children have a wonderful introduction to
kinder and provides them with a great start to their
kindergarten journey.
Kailey Batchler
Kailey is the 4-year-old Koala group teacher and joined the team at Arrabri in 2013. Kailey previously worked in childcare before starting at Arrabri and is now our Educational Leader. Kailey is a caring, nurturing person and enjoys fostering childrens' development, and extending their skills and learning in readiness for school.

Incursions and Excursions:
We are very lucky to have such fun and educational incursions and excursions at Arrabri kindergarten, as listed below:
Reptile incursion
Children get the opportunity to see, touch and learn about Reptiles
Water safety incursion
The Children learn about being safe around water and what to do if they got into trouble.
Respect Pets Incursion
A friendly dog and helper comes into Kender and teaches the children how to safely approach and be around animals.
Kew Traffic School Excursion (4-year-old groups)
Children learn about road saftey and then get to practice what they have learnt on a child safe bike course with safety expectations, signs and signals.
Dance, music and movement incursion
A fun and energetic incursion full of stretching, dance skills, and being in a mini dance routine.
Chicken Hatching Program
Eggs get delivered to kinder and chidren get to see them hatch and watch the baby chickens grow for two weeks. We get to feed, pat and look after the chicks as whole groups.
Footy Day
Children come in their footy or sport team colours; we have footy activities and a footy snack, all whilst supporting Cancer.
Local school visit to kinder (4-year-old groups)
Local primary schools come to our kinder and get the children to participate in educational activities and talk about primary school.
Classes at local primary school (4-year-old groups)
We get to go up to the local primary school and have a few classes such as PE, Art and Music to have fun, and get to know a primary school and experience the diffrent classes the will be involved in.
